Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge for 2009 announced - Distant Horizons are proud to be chosen again, as the preferred supplier for the second Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge. The event will be held in June 2009 in and around Coniston in the Lake District. Distant Horizons will design the challenge routes and run the outdoor activities, which include canoeing, mountain biking, hill walking and abseiling. The first challenge in 2007 was hugely enjoyable and an enormous success; the 2009 event should build on this and achieve the target of £300,000 to be raised for charity.

Windermere Charity Swim Challenge - Distant Horizons are supporting Jen and Matt on their 10.5 mile swim challenge on 17th August 2008 by providing qualified kayak instructors to paddle alongside in sea kayaks. In addition we are providing 2 open canoes and equipment for their support crew and assistants. This is a truely remarkable challenge and one we felt we had to get involved with. All money raised from the event is going to Cancer Research which is a fantastic charity deserving of any funds. Please visit Jen and Matts - website
