Civic Centre Abseil Challenge - Carlisle

On a dry but windy(ish) day, Distant Horizons provided an abseil on behalf of staff at HSBC bank in Carlisle for funds to be raised for the Great North Air Ambulance. 60 people abseiled down Carlisle's well known landmark, The Civic Centre on Saturday 11th October with the youngest being 11 years old and the eldest being an amazing 69!

The event attracted many spectators on the day and ITV Border News covered the event with some footage being aired later that day. The air ambulance helicopter made an appearance on the day and performed some nice spiraling turns above the Civic Centre adding to the whole atmosphere!
